Guide to Filling the Mplus CDS Registration Form: Every Field Explained

Many people stop halfway through the CDS registration form because they are confused by certain sections. "What do I fill in for occupation?", "Which risk profile should I choose?", "What is the invitation code?" — these questions come up frequently.

This article explains every section and field in the Mplus CDS account online registration form. Follow this guide field by field so you can fill the form correctly on your first attempt without rejection.

Before You Start Filling the Form

Make sure you have all these documents ready before you begin:

  • Identity card (IC) — front and back
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN) — from LHDN (mandatory since 2024)
  • Active phone number — to receive OTP
  • Active email address — to receive confirmations

Refer to our complete document checklist for guidance on preparing each document.

To start filling the form, go to: mahersaham.com/akauncds

Section 1: Personal Information

This is the first section of the form. Fill each field as follows:

Full Name

  • Enter your full name exactly as it appears on your IC
  • Ensure the spelling is exactly the same — do not abbreviate
  • Example: MUHAMMAD ALI BIN AHMAD (not "Md Ali" or "M. Ali")

IC Number

  • Enter your 12-digit IC number without dashes (-)
  • Example: 901231145678

Date of Birth

  • Usually auto-fills based on the IC number entered
  • If manual entry is required, follow the format requested (DD/MM/YYYY)

  • Select Male or Female
  • Usually auto-detected from IC number

Section 2: Contact Information

  • Important: Ensure this number is correct as it is difficult to change later

Email Address

  • Use an email you check regularly
  • Avoid work email — use personal email (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook)
  • This email will receive: activation email, contract notes, periodic statements

Home Address

  • Enter your current address — must match IC or be provable
  • If your address has changed from IC, enter your current address and provide proof if requested

Section 4: Tax Identification Number (TIN)

Since 2024, a Tax Identification Number (TIN) is mandatory for all new applications.

What Is a TIN?

A TIN is your tax identification number issued by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN). It usually starts with letters like SG, OG, D, C or CS followed by numbers.

How to Get Your TIN

  1. Go to mytax.hasil.gov.my
  2. Click "Register New" or "e-Daftar" if you do not have an account
  3. Fill in the personal information requested
  4. Submit — usually processed within 3-5 business days
  5. Once approved, your TIN will be shown on the MyTax dashboard

TIN Field in the CDS Form

  • Enter your TIN accurately
  • If your TIN starts with letters, include the letters
  • Example: SG12345678901
  • If you do not have a TIN yet, you cannot proceed with registration — register at MyTax first

Important note: Registering a TIN does not mean you need to pay taxes. A TIN is simply your tax identification number. You only need to pay taxes if your income exceeds the threshold set by LHDN.

Which risk profile should I choose?

If you are just starting out, choose Moderate. The risk profile is for records only and does not affect your account approval.

Cash Account or Collateralised Account — which is suitable?

Choose Cash Account if you are a beginner. You can only trade with money available in your trust account. Collateralised Account allows margin trading which carries more risk.

Do I need to fill in the Tax Number (TIN)?

Yes, mandatory since 2024. Register for a TIN at mytax.hasil.gov.my if you do not have one. Process takes 3-5 business days. Registering a TIN does not mean you need to pay taxes.

I am not employed. What do I fill for occupation?

Select "Not Employed" or "Homemaker" depending on your situation. For annual income, select the lowest range. This does not affect account approval.

Can I select US and Hong Kong markets together?

Yes, and it is recommended. Tick all markets — Bursa, US, and HK. No extra charge for selecting all. You can choose to trade any market when ready.

I forgot to enter the DADY invitation code. What now?

Contact the Mahersaham support team at @mahersahamplatform. You can change your remisier after the account is ready, but the process takes a few extra days.

I made a mistake on the form. Can I edit it?

After submission, you cannot edit directly. Contact the support team with your client code and the information that needs correction. For certain changes (name, IC), a hardcopy form may be required.
