Tabung Haji Dividend 2025/2026: Announcement Date & How to Check Profit Distribution

Loading...

As soon as the new year begins, the first thing on the minds of more than 9 million Tabung Haji (TH) depositors is undoubtedly: "How much is this year''s dividend?". As a savvy investor, we should not merely look at the percentage, but understand the quality of that return.
Traditionally, Lembaga Tabung Haji announces the Profit Distribution (dividend) for the financial year ending 31 December at the end of the first quarter of the following year.
For the financial year 2025, the announcement is expected to be made in late January or February 2026. Once the announcement is made by the Minister in the Prime Minister''s Department (Religious Affairs) together with TH''s top management, the amount will be credited to your account within a few days.
Although there may be other instruments offering returns of 5% or 6%, you need to remember one key advantage of TH: Zakat of 2.5% has already been paid on your behalf.
If TH announces a dividend of 3.25%, that is a NET return. You no longer need to calculate or withdraw money yourself to pay zakat on your savings. Elsewhere, a 5% return might effectively become only 2.5% after manually deducting zakat. This is what we call "Peace of Mind in Investing".
No more queuing at the post office counter to print your passbook. Follow these steps:
To see the bigger picture, let us look at TH''s performance over the past several years. You can see how the distribution chart has climbed back up after the restructuring phase.
| Financial Year | Distribution Rate (%) | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 3.25% | Announced in March 2025 |
| 2023 | 3.10% | |
| 2022 | 3.10% | |
| 2021 | 3.10% | |
| 2020 | 3.10% | |
| 2019 | 3.05% | |
| 2018 | 1.25% | Restructuring Period |
The year 2025 saw a rather dynamic local stock market. With TH''s portfolio management being more focused on fixed-income assets and strategic real estate, we expect a competitive and stable distribution rate compared to previous years.

Yes. One of the key advantages of Tabung Haji is that zakat of 2.5% has already been paid on your behalf. The dividend you receive is a net return after zakat.
Tabung Haji calculates the dividend based on the monthly average balance in your account throughout the financial year. The higher your average balance, the more dividend you receive.
Any withdrawal will reduce your monthly average balance, which in turn reduces your dividend. It is advisable to minimise withdrawals to maximise your dividend returns.
