How to Check IPO Results in Malaysia

Loading...

Nowadays, many Malaysians are already familiar with IPOs. Previously, not many people knew about IPOs.
There are IPOs that attract a large number of applicants, to the point where some become oversubscribed.
Congratulations — you already know one of the ways to make money in the stock market, which is through IPOs.
You can apply for an IPO through two methods — via MITI and through online banking.
For MITI, you can log in to the MITI online shares website and check your IPO results directly.
For online banking, many people usually ask me: how do you check IPO results?
IPOs in Malaysia are managed by two issuing houses:
For the IPO you applied for, first check whether it falls under TIIH or MIH. If it is under MIH, you will need to call them to enquire about your IPO results.
First, go to the TIIH website.

Second, make sure the IPO falls under TIIH. To do this, click on Past IPOs.

Clicking Past IPOs will display a list of previous IPOs managed under TIIH.

Click Press Release to view the details of each IPO.

After clicking Press Release, a list of IPOs under TIIH will appear.
You can also check the balloting results for each IPO, including the Press Release and basis of allotment.

To view the latest IPOs, click on Current IPOs.

Once you click, a list of IPOs will appear. The most important date to note is the Balloting Date — this is when you can check your IPO application results.
For example, to view the Balloting Date, Opening Date, Closing Date, and Listing Date, click on CURRENT IPOs.
The latest offering will appear. For instance, NESTCON BERHAD.
The offer opened on 8 June 2021, closed on 17 June 2021, with the balloting date on 21 June 2021.
It was listed on Bursa Malaysia on 29 June 2021.

For example, I want to check the IPO results for PEKAT GROUP BERHAD. Typically, you can check one day before the listing date.
So I will click on Balloting Results.

There it shows, for example, NESTCON results can be checked on 28 June 2021 (one day before listing), and Ramssol can be checked on 12 July 2021 (one day before listing) — as indicated by the red text above the IC entry field.
Then, enter your IC number and click Search. All the details will be displayed.

Here is an example of checking results for Pekat Group Berhad. If your application is successful, the number of units allocated to you will be displayed.

You can check your IPO results through the TIIH Online website (tiih.online). Go to Balloting Results, enter your IC number, and click Search. Results are typically available one day before the listing date.
TIIH (Tricor Investor & Issuing House) and MIH (Malaysian Issuing House) are the two issuing houses that manage IPO applications in Malaysia. You need to check which issuing house handles the IPO you applied for. If it is under MIH, you will need to call them directly.
IPO balloting results are usually available one day before the listing date on Bursa Malaysia. Check the balloting date listed on the TIIH website for the specific IPO.
You can apply for IPOs through two methods: via the MITI website (sahamonline.miti.gov.my) or through your online banking platform.
