How to Use the Setel App to Refuel

Here are the steps to use the Setel app to refuel at Petronas:

Step 1:

Go to the App Store and search for 'SETEL'. Then click Install. Once the Setel app is installed, click 'Open'.

Step 2:

For first-time users, you need to register first. Click 'Register'.

Step 3:

Fill in the details: full name, phone number, email address, and password. In the Promo code section, enter the CODE 'ufbcc'. By using this code, you will receive a FREE RM5 after using the Setel app to refuel.

Once done, click 'Register'.

Step 4:

Then enter the 6-digit verification code sent via SMS to your phone number.

Step 5:

Once done, click 'Allow Location'. Then click 'Create PIN'. Set your PIN number and enter the same PIN again as a security measure.

Step 6:

You can activate your fingerprint for each fuel purchase at the station. If interested, click 'TURN ON'. Then confirm your fingerprint.

Step 7:

You can also set up a credit card or debit card number to top up funds into the Setel app. If not interested, simply click skip.

Step 8:

Click 'Get Started'. Click the 'locate' button and Setel will suggest the nearest Petronas station to you.

Step 9:

To top up via Online Banking, click on the 'Payments' option.

Step 10:

Then select Top-up >> Online Banking >> choose Amount >> choose Bank >> click Proceed.

Step 11:

Top-up complete!

Step 12:

To purchase fuel at the petrol station, click 'Purchase Fuel' >> Got It >> select the pump number >> enter the fuel Amount or choose Full tank.

Step 13:

Wait until the fuel is fully pumped. The best part is that once it is done, you can immediately check the Mesra points earned and your fuel receipt. Easy and fast.
