M+ Withdrawal Problems — Troubleshooting Money Not Received & Pending Status

The withdrawal process from your M+ account can sometimes be confusing — status shows "Updated" but money hasn't arrived in your bank, Available Trust Withdraw is low despite having a large balance, or you can't withdraw at all. This article answers all common withdrawal problems.
Normal Withdrawal Process
Before troubleshooting, understand the normal withdrawal process:
- Request withdrawal in the M+Global or M+Online app
- Trust Account deducted — Trust balance decreases immediately
- Status: Updated — Bank has received the request
- Processing: 3 business days — Funds being processed by the bank
- Money arrives in bank — Funds reach your bank account
Standard timeline: Withdrawals take 3 business days. Weekends and public holidays are NOT counted. If you request on Friday, expect the money by Wednesday or Thursday the following week.
Tips for Faster Processing
- Request withdrawal before 9:30 AM — may arrive as early as the next day
- Request before 4:00 PM — counting starts that day
- Request after 4:00 PM — counting starts the next business day
Status "Updated" But Money Not Received
This is not a problem. "Updated" status means:
- M+ has processed your request
- The bank has received the transfer instruction
- Funds are in transit — wait up to 3 full business days
When to worry? Only if more than 3 full business days have passed and money still hasn't arrived. At that point, contact the Mahersaham team with your Client Code and request date.
Cannot Withdraw / Available Trust Withdraw Is Low
Several reasons why you cannot withdraw or the withdrawable amount is very low:
| Cause | Explanation | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pending settlement (T+2) | Stock sale proceeds not yet settled — needs 2 business days after selling | Wait for T+2. Sell Monday → can withdraw Wednesday |
| Pending buy order | Funds locked for unmatched buy orders | Cancel unnecessary orders to free up funds |
| Outstanding contra loss | Unsettled contra losses — funds held back | Deposit additional funds or wait for settlement |
| Active IPO leverage | Funds locked as collateral for IPO financing | Wait for IPO listing to complete or request cancel leverage |
| Minimum withdrawal | Amount too small to process | Usually no minimum, but check with M+ |
Withdrawal to a Different Bank
Withdrawals from M+ can only be made to the bank account registered during CDS account opening. You cannot withdraw directly to a different bank.
Want to Change Your Withdrawal Bank?
- Fill in the Updating Particulars form — Physical form that needs to be signed
- Submit to M+ — Walk in to a branch or send via post/email to your remisier
- Wait for processing — Bank detail changes take a few business days
- Withdraw to new bank — After details are updated, you can withdraw to the new bank

Urgent? If your old bank is closed and you need to withdraw immediately, contact the Mahersaham team. Your remisier can help request manual withdrawal through the RMS system.
Wrong Bank Account Number Entered
If you entered the wrong bank account number during withdrawal request:
- If bank name and recipient name match — Money may still arrive, but to the wrong account. Contact your bank to trace
- If account number doesn't exist — Bank will reject and money returns to Trust Account (takes 3–5 business days)
- Immediate action needed — Contact M+ customer service (1300 22 1233) and request cancel/trace of the withdrawal
Withdrawal Via Remisier
If you cannot make a withdrawal yourself (e.g., forgot password, account issues, or old bank closed), your remisier can help:
- Provide your Client Code, withdrawal amount, and bank details (bank name + account number)
- Remisier will request withdrawal through the RMS system
- Processing still takes 3 business days
Note: Withdrawal via remisier can only be made to the bank account registered in the M+ system.
How to Check Withdrawal Status
To check your withdrawal status:
In M+Global App
- Open M+Global
- Go to Menu → Account → Withdrawal
- Select "Cash" to view withdrawal list
- Check status: Pending → Updated → Successful
On M+Online Web
- Login to web.mplusonline.com

- Check date and status of each withdrawal
Withdrawal Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Request just submitted, not yet processed |
| Updated | M+ processed, bank received instruction. Wait 1-2 more days |
| Successful | Money has entered your bank account |
| Rejected | Withdrawal rejected — contact M+ for reason |
Limits & Frequency
- Maximum daily withdrawal: No maximum — you can withdraw your entire Available Trust Withdraw
- Frequency: Can request multiple withdrawals, but each is processed separately (3 business days each)
- Minimum withdrawal: No officially set minimum, but very small amounts (below RM 50) may incur bank receiving charges
- Withdrawal fee: M+ does not charge withdrawal fees. Free
Frequently Asked Questions
Withdraw on Friday, when does money arrive?
If requested before 4 PM Friday: Day 1 = Friday, Day 2 = Monday, Day 3 = Tuesday. Expected to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. If Monday is a holiday, add 1 day.
Trust Account deducted but money not in bank yet?
This is normal. Trust is deducted immediately when the request is processed, but money takes 1–3 business days to reach your bank. This is NOT a problem — your money is in transit.
Can I withdraw to e-wallets (GrabPay, Touch n Go)?
No. Withdrawals can only be made to registered bank accounts. Cannot withdraw to e-wallets, Tabung Haji, or ASB.
Why is my Available Trust Withdraw zero after selling stocks?
Sale proceeds only enter Available Trust Withdraw after T+2 (2 business days). Sell today → can withdraw 2 business days later. This is Bursa Malaysia's settlement rule.
Can remisier speed up the process?
Remisier can try requesting priority from M+, but the standard 3 business day timeline still applies. Requesting early morning (before 9:30 AM) gives the best chance of receiving sooner.
