These days, whenever there is an IPO offering, it sells like hotcakes. People say they are in high demand.
Some IPOs are even oversubscribed by more than 100 times. What does oversubscribed mean?
An oversubscribed IPO means there are far more applicants than the number of shares being offered.
However, before you apply for an IPO, you need to read the company''s Prospectus to understand the IPO details, financial records, the purpose of the IPO, its status, and more.
So where can you find this IPO prospectus?
First, the IPO offering must already be open on Online Banking.
Once it is open to the public, you simply need to go to bursamalaysia.com.

Then go to the Market Information section and look for Company Announcement.

Next, click on the category, search for IPO, and click search.

When you scroll down, you will see a list of IPO prospectuses.
Click on the link provided in the ''Title'' column and the company''s IPO prospectus will appear.

You can read it directly or save it as a PDF to read later -- either way works.

Once you have the prospectus, you can start doing your own IPO research.
You can obtain IPO prospectuses from the Bursa Malaysia website (bursamalaysia.com) or the Securities Commission Malaysia website (sc.com.my). Prospectuses are usually uploaded a few days before the application date opens.
An IPO prospectus is an official document containing complete information about a company, including its background, financial performance, risks, and the purpose of fundraising. It is important to help investors make informed decisions.
Yes, most IPO prospectuses uploaded on the Bursa Malaysia website can be downloaded or saved as PDF files for future reference.
Key information includes the offer price, number of shares offered, purpose of fundraising, the company''s financial performance, PE ratio, and related risk factors.
