What Happens After Your CDS Account Is Approved?
After Mplus approves your CDS account application, several things happen automatically:
- CDS account registered with Bursa Malaysia — your CDS number is generated (format: 012-001-XXXXXXXXX)
- Client code assigned (format: ABC123J) — this is your unique ID at Mplus
- Emails sent to the email address registered — containing login information and activation instructions
You will typically receive 2-3 separate emails from Mplus:
- Email 1: Confirmation that your CDS account has been successfully opened — containing CDS number and client code
- Email 2: Instructions for M+ Global — how to download the app and login
- Email 3 (if applicable): Additional information for global market access (US/HK)
Step by Step CDS Account Activation
Step 1: Check the Approval Email
- Open the email inbox you used during registration
- Search for emails from Mplus or Malacca Securities
- If not found in inbox, check Spam, Junk, or Promotions (Gmail) folders
- The email contains:
- Your CDS account number
- Your client code
- Login instructions for M+ Global
Important: Save this email for reference. Screenshot or note down your CDS number and client code in a safe place.
Step 2: Download M+ Global App
- Go to Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone)
- Search for "M+ Global" or "MPlus Global"
- Download and install the app
- Make sure the app downloaded is the official app from Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd

Step 3: First Login to M+ Global
- Open the M+ Global app
- Tap "Login"
- Enter the phone number registered during CDS account opening
- You will receive an SMS OTP (One-Time Password) — a 6-digit code
- Enter the OTP code in the app
- You will be prompted to set a new password

- Make sure the phone number entered is the same as the one registered
- If you do not receive the OTP, wait 60 seconds and click "Resend"
- If still not received after 3 attempts, contact the support team
Step 4: Set Password
You will be prompted to create a password for your M+ Global account.
Password requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- At least 1 uppercase letter (A-Z)
- At least 1 lowercase letter (a-z)
- At least 1 number (0-9)
- At least 1 special character (!@#$%^&*)

Step 5: Set Trading PIN (6 Digits)
The Trading PIN is a 6-digit code required every time you make a transaction (buy/sell shares).
- After setting your password, you will be prompted to create a Trading PIN
- Enter 6 digits of your choice
- Confirm by entering the same Trading PIN again
Important about Trading PIN:
- Trading PIN is used for every buy/sell transaction
- It is different from the login password — password is for entering the app, Trading PIN is for placing orders
- If your Trading PIN is blocked after several wrong entries, wait 5 minutes and try again
- If forgotten, you can request a reset through @mahersahamplatform
Step 6: Account Active — Ready to Use
After completing all the steps above, your account is fully active. You can now:
- Deposit money into your trust account via FPX
- Buy and sell shares on Bursa Malaysia
- Access global markets (US and Hong Kong) if selected during registration
- View portfolio, charts, and market data
Common Activation Problems & How to Fix
Problem 1: Activation Email Not Received
Common causes:
- Email went to Spam/Junk folder
- Registered email address had a typo
- Account has not been approved yet — still under review
How to fix:
- Check all email folders including Spam, Junk, and Promotions
- Search for emails from senders containing "mplus" or "malacca"
- If still nothing after 3 business days, contact @mahersahamplatform with your name, IC, and registered email

Problem 2: OTP SMS Not Received
Common causes:
- Phone number entered differs from registered number
- Telco network issues
- SMS inbox full
How to fix:
- Ensure the phone number entered is exactly the same as the registered one
- Wait 60 seconds and click "Resend OTP"
- Make sure SMS inbox is not full — delete old messages if needed
- Restart your phone and try again
- If still failing, contact Mplus at 1300 22 1233
Problem 3: Trading PIN Blocked
Cause: Entering the wrong Trading PIN several times consecutively.
How to fix:
- Wait 5 minutes — Trading PIN will auto-unblock after this period
- After 5 minutes, enter the correct Trading PIN
- If you forgot your Trading PIN, request a reset through @mahersahamplatform
Problem 4: Account Has Not Been Used for a Long Time (Dormant)
If your CDS account has been inactive for a long period, it may become dormant and needs reactivation.
How to fix:
- Download the Bursa Anywhere app from Play Store / App Store
- Login with your IC number
- Follow the instructions for Reactivate Account
- Process takes 1-3 business days

Problem 5: "User Not Activated" Error When Trying to Login
Meaning: Your account has been approved but not fully activated yet.
How to fix:
- Check your email for an activation link that needs to be clicked
- If no email found, contact @mahersahamplatform to request Mplus to resend it
- After clicking the activation link, try logging in again
